In this blog post, we will explore the best ways to pamper your classic Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint, ensuring that it remains in pristine condition for years to come.
Adopting preventive strategies is crucial in safeguarding the integrity and value of your classic Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint. A critical step is to store the vehicle in an environment that mitigates potential damage. A climate-controlled environment is ideal to prevent the metal components from rusting and the upholstery from deteriorating due to humidity and temperature fluctuations. Utilizing a high-quality car cover further shields your Giulietta Sprint from dust, moisture, and accidental scratches, preserving its exquisite finish. Additionally, being mindful of the driving conditions your classic encounters is vital. Avoid exposure to extreme weather, corrosive substances on roads, and rough terrain to minimize wear on its vintage frame and mechanical systems. Implementing these strategies will significantly contribute to the longevity and preservation of your classic Alfa Romeo, allowing it to stand the test of time as a cherished automotive masterpiece.
The 1961 Giulietta Spring arrived with us on a sunny day soon after it was purchased by our esteemed client. On his maiden voyage in new custody, the Sprint misbehaved suffering from fuel starvation. We were called into action on short notice but as always, we are here to help. We have the Giulietta a quick check over and discovered the fuel pump is suffering from bad electrical wiring, hence quickly proceeded to rectify some of the original Italian wiring, spaghetti junction springs to mind. A series of other points of improvement were identified like noisy dynamo, very old ignition components like HT leads, spark plugs, coil. All these were soon replaced with modern alternatives hopefully improving the reliability of the otherwise pristine Giulietta Sprint. Upon closer inspection, we discovered that the glorious drum brakes could do with servicing with both cylinder and shoes in need of a new lease of life.
